KILLARA

Significant vertical changes across multiple levels of this site provided an engineering and construction challenge, magnified by limited access issues. Linking four distinct areas with an integrated robust structure, with all aspects remaining useable, safe and aesthetically pleasing, further extended the brief. Greenstone was only too happy to rise to the occasion.

The upper crazy paving firepit and clothesline area, retaining a natural bushland feel, required dedicated craftsmanship and ingenuity to weave sculpted modwood stairs though the natural rock escarpment down to the pool level. Curved black steel handrails provide maximum safety. Screening of retaining with black aluminum blade batten balustrade neatly conceals all structural elements.

Frameless glass pool surrounds and a secure gateway lead down further through a suspended concrete stairway, supported by significant piering into natural rock. Finally, weaving into a concrete based, crazy paving serpentine pathway, giving easy access to lower living levels. All this bounded by a 30m long fully engineered planter box along the boundary.

Fully immersed in a stunning original Greenstone planting composition, the entire creation becomes its own world of wonder by daylight and accentuated in the highlight of nighttime lighting. Needless to say, our clients are beyond delighted.

We engaged Greenstone to make an otherwise unusable space into a magnificent functional garden. It exceeded our expectations. The outcome was incredible.

Right from the beginning Dan and his team were professional and focussed on the tight timeline we gave them! They built garden beds, paths, a concrete staircase, retaining walls, crazy paving and cladding. They can do it all.

The entire team was a delight to have around the house and the contractors first class. We have no hesitation in recommending Greenstone. What a incredible outcome for us. We are beyond happy with the result.
