DAVIDSON – STAGE II

The second stage of this extensive transformation saw Greenstone re-imagine the entire outdoor environment, encompassing the swimming pool, entertaining areas, elevated deck, gardens and the home exterior.

As the centerpiece, the existing pool was completely renovated and given a refined new identity. A full glass mosaic interior, limestone surrounds, frameless glazing paired with vertical metal rod fencing are complemented by spotted gum decking and a poolside shower, creating a contemporary pool environment that sits naturally within its elevated setting.

Beyond the pool, a previously fragmented and uneven rear yard was completely reshaped. The removal of an ageing deck and overgrown landscape created a more considered connection between the home and garden, with distinct zones for dining, entertaining, lawn and family use. Spotted gum decking provides a warm architectural element, drawing the interior living spaces seamlessly into the landscape.

New sandstone garden beds reference the natural rock formations found throughout the property, while a sculptural curved off-form concrete seat creates a strong focal point and generous informal seating. Layered planting, including established citrus, softens the architecture, with integrated landscape and pool lighting extending the experience well into the evening.

Topping it all off, the elevated deck was completely rebuilt and extended to take full advantage of the home’s panoramic treetop outlook. The broader exterior was then transformed through a complete façade renovation, replacing the dated 1970s character with a cleaner, more contemporary architectural expression.
